Hi, I’m Julia.

I’m a ceramic artist drawn to clay, fire, and the quiet beauty of handmade objects.

I discovered ceramics nearly ten years ago, shortly after moving to California. Before clay, I spent years working as an illustrator and graphic designer — and eventually, clay became a natural extension of how I see shape, texture, and touch.

My work is rooted in nature. I grew up where mountains meet open plains, surrounded by deep forests, rivers, and lakes. Those wild landscapes shaped my eye and my heart — and California’s coastline, wind, and earth continued that story. My pieces feel like they belong to both places: raw, tactile, touched by the elements.

I fire mainly with wood and soda, embracing the unpredictable marks of flame, ash, and time. I don’t chase perfection — I let the process breathe. Fire finishes the work in ways I never could.

My teapots, cups, and vessels carry the memory of shoreline textures, salty wind, stones, shells, and earth. They’re made to be held, used, and lived with. Sometimes I even gather local clay by hand — always searching for materials that feel honest and real.

I believe in beauty that’s simple, imperfect, and alive. In objects that feel like they grew, not like they were manufactured.

I create small batches and one-of-a-kind pieces for everyday rituals — so nature can have a quiet place in your home.

If the sound of the ocean, the weight of stone, and the warmth of clay speak to you — welcome. We’re already connected.
